I love how excited you are when you’ve got an idea for a new novel.

But it frustrates me when I see that you’re not starting to write it – because you ‘don’t know enough yet’.

The initial research can spiral into a long phase of reading. While solidifying the foundations for your novel, you often feel that they need to conduct more, more and EVEN MORE research.

Sometimes, their original idea even gets drowned in LOADS of paper, articles and websites. It’s buried under PILES of books, newspaper clippings and notes.

Starting to write that first draft gets pushed further and further back. And when you finally get round to writing those first scenes, all that early excitement has evaporated.

It almost feels as if the research has put the brakes on the whole process.

So many great ideas are not “Lost in Translation”, but “Lost in Research.”

Of course, you need a solid foundation for your novel.

But I want you to START WRITING as soon as possible.

I want you to feel that you know enough to start writing.

For me, this means: Having a curated, comprehensible material dossier at hand.

Detailed enough to get countless ideas from and to be inspired to write.

Extensive enough to get a solid overview of your time & setting.

Just enough, so that the information doesn’t overwhelm you.

To curate such a package of research material, I’ve created CATAPULT YOUR FIRST DRAFT.

I want you to know that: If you’ve worked your way through this hand-selected material, you will feel ready to start writing your novel.

Receive: Special writing prompts to make writing those very first scenes a breeze.

… curated material from the time and setting of your novel.

… and a parcel delivered to your door, containing selected books on your topic, hand-picked and annotated by your personal historical advisor.

Former clients have said that, because of our collaboration, they were able to start writing at least 4-6 weeks earlier. And the foundation for their novel was more solid, so that the overall writing process was much smoother.

Because when you capitalise on the precious early excitement of a new project, and have enough material to gain ideas from, you can put all of your energy into writing.

Bridge the gap from “first idea” to “write your first scenes.”

Together, we can work on four key pillars to create the foundation of your novel.

  1. Inspiration to Start Writing Right Away,
  2. Fill the Holes in the Plot,
  3. Mentoring When You’re Stuck, and
  4. (of course!) Research Material For Your Novel.

CATAPULT YOUR FIRST DRAFT costs 2,300 Euros (approximately 3,290 AUD), and it’s created in close collaboration between me and you.

Don’t let your ideas and your early excitement get “lost in research”.

If you want to start writing your novel as soon as possible, let’s collaborate. Begin our conversation by sending me an email.
